With a vision of building the great Canadian brokerage, Navacord completed 11 acquisitions in 2019, and has since solidified its place among the top five commercial insurance brokers in Canada. Andw with this fast-paced growth due to a unique ownership model that is highly attractive to entrepreneurial insurance brokers, Navacord needed a solid internal communications strategy to build shared purpose, engagement and information-sharing across their nationally-dispersed employees and Broker Partners.


We conducted an internal communications audit, working with the founders, key executives and the heads of HR, IT and marketing to identify priority needs and audiences. We delivered a focused, in-depth internal communications plan with a key message map for all relevant stakeholders, including high-level messaging and media training for executives. An onboarding communications toolkit for new employees, complete with email communications and press release templates was also developed, along with a content calendar to help Navacord maintain regular staff communications. The result is a streamlined process for sharing valuable information and best practices, while building a consistent Navacord narrative that lays the groundwork for external communications.
